What to expect at Kanto Lampo waterfall

After parking your vehicle and paying the entrance fee, it is just a 5 – 10 min walk down well maintained stairs. There’s no way to get lost as there are signs along the path. Once you’re getting closer to the waterfall you will see beautifully carved rocks and eventually the canyon where Kanto Lampo Waterfall is.

There are some benches to put your stuff before making your way down to the river. Keep in mind that if you want to stand close to the waterfall you are getting wet! Also mind your step because the rocks can be slippery.

Depending on the season, water levels can vary enormously in the river due to the rain. When we visited Kanto Lampo in January 2022 the river was very high and impossible to cross or you would have to swim. In that case it is not possible to make a photo from right in front of the waterfall, so you are limited to the cement platform on the side. But this doesn’t make the experience less as you can still make beautiful photos!
