Love Koh Tao viewpoint

This viewpoint is located on the east coast of Koh Tao and is close to the entrance of Tanote Bay. It is a great place to watch the sunrise, but unfortunately (and understandable), the viewpoint isn’t opened yet at that time. You can’t miss this viewpoint with netted beds overhanging a cliff where you can relax and overlook Tanote Bay.

How to find Love Koh Tao viewpoint

Love Koh Tao viewpoint is located in the middle of the island and is only a 15 minute drive from Sairee beach. You can combine this spot with a visit to Tanote Bay.

Our experience at Love Koh Tao viewpoint

This viewpoint is a cute bar with an amazing view on Tanote Bay. They decorated it very nice and even have netted beds overhanging the cliff from where you can sip on your drink and take in the views. There’s not much to do except that, but it is the perfect stop when you’re exploring the island and pass this viewpoint anyway. The opening times are from 8AM – 12AM, so keep this in mind when you’re planning to visit this viewpoint!

High Bar viewpoint

Although this might not be one of the official Koh Tao viewpoints, it does have a super nice view and is a really relaxing spot to spend your afternoon watching the sunset behind the mountain. The vibes are super chill with reggae music and delicious drinks.

How to find High Bar viewpoint

If you drive on the road to John Suwan Viewpoint you will pass the road towards High Bar. There are signs pointing to High Bar, so if you follow the steep road you will get to the parking lot. There you have to walk some steps before you enter the Bar.

Sunset viewpoint

Facing west, Sunset viewpoint overlooks the popular Sairee Beach. As the name suggests, this is one of the best Koh Tao viewpoints to watch the sunset with a beer or coconut. But you can also visit this viewpoint earlier on the day. There is a big chance you will have the place than for yourself. While with sunset you have to share it with other people.

How to find Sunset viewpoint

Located in the northern end of the island and tucked away high in the hills, Sunset Viewpoint Koh Tao offers incredible views. You have to go a bit off road to reach this viewpoint and the road becomes more and more steep. Look out for the sign on the left side of the road, there you have to turn lef. This is the same road you have to take to get to Mango viewpoint, you just have to drive a bit further for Mango viewpoint.

We love watching sunset and the panoramic views at this viewpoint makes it the perfect opportunity for some awesome photos. Have a drink or chill in the hammocks while enjoying the view.

So make sure that you feel comfortable on your scooter because you have to make your way down as well. And after sunset is might be a bit darker, so just be careful driving your scooter to this viewpoint! It is the same road you have to take to get to Sunset viewpoint, so you might even want to combine these two!
