Once a week there’s an even bigger night market in Thong Sala. It’s the Saturday Night Walking Street Market with a variety of delicious Thai food stalls, yummy snacks such as brownies and other treats, clothing and accessories and more! The opening times of the Saturday Night market is from 5 PM to 10 PM.
Adjacent to the sea and Koh Phangan park, the location of this market in Thong Sala couldn’t be better. Enjoy your favourite Thai food and treats with a sea breeze in your hair and toes in the sand! A perfect example of the island life 
And when you’re done eating, you can continue shopping on the Saturday Night market. There are some great bargains to find here!

Besides the famous Thong Sala night market and the Saturday Night walking street, there are more food markets in Koh Phangan!
- Chaloklum Sunday Market. The pier of Chaloklum transforms into a walking market every Sunday starting from 5 PM.
- Phangan Food Court. Permanently based in Thong Sala, this food court offers a wide range of yummy Thai street food and other treats. Open everyday, but the vendors sometimes make their own opening times. Here we found some of the best Vietnamese Banh Mi sandwiches and the typical Northern Thai curry Khao Soi. You have to try this dish!
Koh Phangan weather
The island has a dry season and a very wet season. The weather of Koh Phangan basically has three seasons; the horrid monsoon season which is luckily short, the drier season and a hot season which has frequent heavy showers. The dry season lasts from late December through to March, with February as driest month. These months are also the main tourist season of Koh Phangan. The peak season weather is hot, bright and not too humid. Just perfect for lounging on the island’s fantastic beaches. From April until September there are some chances of downpours, alternated with bright blue skies. We were in Koh Phangan in June and only had some rain during the evening or night. The monsoon season which arrives from the south west, strikes between September and mid November. These are the months to avoid going to Koh Phangan.
