How to get to Sai Nuan Beach Koh Tao
Located on the southwest coast, you are only 10 minutes away from the more crowded Sairee beach which is the main tourist area of the island. But at Sai Nuan Beach you’re in such a different environment. There is a completely different vibe, as if time stood still. The road access towards Sai Nuan Beach is good and there is no fee for parking or an entrance fee to the beach.
What to expect at Sai Nuan Beach Koh Tao
This lovely hideaway spot with its unspoiled beach of fine white sand and shallow turquoise water feels so peaceful and reminiscent. People even say that the atmosphere of Sai Nuan Beach reminds them of the early tourism days of Koh Tao in the 80’s and 90’s.
Tucked away under the hills of Koh Tao’s west coast, you will find this cozy bay shaded by coconut palm tree forest. Because this bay isn’t that popular under tourists, you might even have the chance to get this beautiful bay completely for yourself! There are a few restaurants where you can have a snack and a drink. And at Sai Nuan beach 2 is a resort located, but it is allowed for outside visitors to relax on their beach.
Things to do at Sai Nuan Beach Koh Tao
There is not much more to do at Sai Nuan beach except chilling, sunbathing, swimming and a bit of snorkeling! For the daredevils, there is even a spot to go cliff jumping! It’s a bit hard to explain, the. Cliff jump spot is located at beach 2, the resort beach, and you have to go to the left side of the bay. If you climb the outside rock, you will see where you can jump.
There is lots to see as soon as you enter the water here, particularly around the rocks. Swim out to the two groups of boulders which are very close to Sai Nuan Beach 2. They are easy to spot as the top of the boulders stand about 2 metres out of the water. The marine life here is home to many fish including orange spine unicornfish, batfish, harlequin sweetlips, giant grouper, schools of yellowtail barracuda, threadfin and butterflyfish. Green turtles have been spotted here too!
