How to get to Sai Daeng beach
Sai Daeng Beach can be accessed through the Sai Daeng Beach Resort. There are signs pointing where to park you motorbike in front of the resort. There are no parking or entry fees to Sai Daeng Beach. After you have parked your scooter, you can follow the signs to the stairs and find your way down to the beach.
What to expect at Sai Daeng beach
This beautiful secluded beach is part of a resort, so most of the visitors are guests of the resort itself. Via stairs you can enter the beach. There is enough shade provided by the trees and sun beds are available for rent. The beautiful beach stretches out for only 200 metres and is enclosed at both ends by massive rocks. You can see Shark Island from the beach, which is one of the best Koh Tao snorkeling spots. So if you’re into snorkeling or scuba diving you will have a lot of fun here!
Things to do at Sai Daeng beach
There are several things to do at Sai Daeng beach, especially water sports! Kayaks and snorkeling sets are available to rent from the restaurant located down on Sai Daeng Beach. There you can also order a yummy breakfast or other snacks if you are hungry. We enjoyed a great little breakfast here we we head out early to explore this beach.

You can visit Shark Island from this beach, paddling out with your kayak takes approximately 10-minutes in calm water. You can tie your kayak to a floating buoy close to Shark Island before jumping in the water for a snorkel. The good snorkelling spots are on the west and east end of Sai Daeng bay where there are various kinds of coral combined with rocks. You also have the chance to find blacktip reef sharks or sea turtles near Shark Island! I you’re into swimming, you can swim east around Cape Gong Sai Daeng to Hin Ngam Bay (which means beautiful rocks in Thai) where you will find beautiful big round shaped rocks underwater. With the many corals it makes it a very good snorkelling spot on Koh Tao, though be careful of the current around the cape!

Koh Tao weather
The climate on Koh Tao is hot and humid for most of the year. The rainiest months are October, November and December, so it’s better to avoid these. The best moment to come to the Koh Tao is from January to April but the island is also enjoyable during the months of March until August. At this time of the year Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao have the best weather of all Thai islands.

All the reviews are amazing, so if you’re looking for one of the best Koh Tao hotels something really luxury and private, this is your fit!

Simple Life Cliff View Resort Koh Tao
Simple Life Cliff View Resort is located at the southern tip of Koh Tao’s Sairee Beach and offers luxury studios, 1 and 2 bedroom suites. The Ozo Koh Tao
Here you will enjoy a peaceful hillside location located in the south of the island. The cozy, comfortably furnished rooms offer a living space of 32 – 40 square meters and are equipped with all the necessities for a relaxing stay. The amenities available in the rooms include air conditioning, refrigerator, TV, safe, hot shower, tea and coffee, free WiFi and a private balcony or terrace. Some of the rooms also have a kitchenette with a microwave. The outdoor pool with sun loungers makes it perfect for a lazy afternoon. We stayed for a few days at the Ozo and it was a great budget deal!
