We had lovely days at Rumah Sidemen. The cabin is really nice. You have a big clean bathroom with hot water and sleeping room with great AC. Beside that, the view from your terrace is really pretty, directly into the nature. It is silent and you have your own private place. The family is really lovely and you can rent scooters. The breakfast is delicious. Beside that, from this spot you have good walking tours around sidemen. There are nice Warungs nearby as well. We can fully recommend this place.
Set amid hills, Giri Carik is located in Karangasem and overlooks Mount Agung and rice fields. It features 2 standalone guestrooms with private patios and spectacular views.

Sidemen is still not too touristic and does feel off the beaten track. There is a lot of development happening, but locals still see people as people. It is walkable in 30-ish minutes. There is plenty of restaurants, tracks and things to do while being there. Would definitely recommend! Easy to get to and 1 hr away from the beach. Very calm and quiet.

Great authentic area to visit in Bali, the rice terraces are spectacular and also there are some nice views around if you go by scooter. Good area for tourist needs, nice warungs and restaurants ( i recommend Samanvaya) in the area, scooter rental and stores. Pretty close to many waterfalls, views and other atttractions like Penglipuran Village.
The main streets get pretty busy sometimes and some b roads are in a really bad shape, but with a scooter you can overcome everything and the spectacular nature makes you forget any inconvenience.

We had a fantastic last stay on Bali here with our two daughters (3 & 6 years-old). We stayed here three nights, but it felt like a week.
The property is very comfortable and we felt at home immediately.
We drove around Sidemen on scooters and Koman‘s kids showed us where to swim in the river. Our highlight ☺️.
The food was amazing (try the chicken betutu) as well, which made our stay with kids so much easier.
Highly recommended!
What can I say about this little piece of paradise? Amazing and quiet place, awesome rooms, pools, hot tub, very good restaurants inside (Asri Dining) and the masterpiece is the staff. I want to thank again Ketut, Dandi, Diah, Ogik, Anila, Bimah and Boy for being so professional, kind and nice. They are very welcoming and helpful, Samanvaya Resort is really a must stop in Sidemen.
Perfect private villa with own pool, but the main pool was also very nice. Nice comfy bed with good air con. The views over the valley were amazing. The food was the best we had in Bali and the staff were really friendly and made the stay very easy. We liked the free trip round the local area, was good to see and hear about the local life in sidemen.
That was the best accommodation for us in Bali in general. The rooms are big, very confortable and clean. The staff very friendly and helpful. It's easy to rent a moto and travel around Sidemen, which is such a beautiful area of Bali!
Everything was very good. I especially liked the shower amenities (with the lavanda smell) :)))
Sidemen is a great location, perfect for relaxing. The staff at Arta Nadi are super friendly and welcoming. They will accommodate any request that you have. We also had the best driver, Ghozem, who showed us so many things about the local culture, and was also very helpful. All in all great value for money.
Embang homestay is like coming home in Bali! If you don't like the crowds of the coast and even Ubud then you have to stay in Sidemen. Embang homestay is the perfect place to immerse in the real Bali. Thanks to Jero and Ayu your stay will be amazing, they treat you like royalty! We will come back!
The energy of the place, the view over the mountains and the exceptional staff made this stay simply wonderful. Also the view from the restaurant was breathtaking. The hotel is located at a lovely street with restaurants, spas and warungs all around. All in all, amazing stay!
I had a very nice time at Jana's. The breakfast every morning was very good and big.
All the family was very welcoming and they helped me a to organize my exploration of Sidemen and around. Also recommanded me a nice place to get a massage...
Thank you so much !!
Fantastic location, great view, you really sleep amongst nature. Only thing is during the day it is not private as many farmers working the rice fields. Sidemen was a nice village to explore and Gede was a great host, very very helpful. He went above and beyond.
The hotel was just magical, the views the lovely reception ladies, the room service waiters. All need a big thanks. Guest relations is a massive part of a guest experience and they were all beautiful caring people, the views are incredible.
Embang was the best place we stayed during our trip. The views are unimaginable, the design of the hotel is beautiful and we had a very comfy bed. Everyone at Embang is super friendly.
