KRABI NIGHT MARKET – A must visit in Krabi Thailand!

One of the things you can’t miss when visiting Krabi, is the Krabi Night Market, also known as Krabi Walking Street. The lively vibes of the market, more than 70 stalls with food and other things, live music and the mix of locals and tourists make this market so diverse. You will find a range of different foods and goods on the market such as vegan and Thai street food, electrical items, accessories, shoes, clothing and much more. The Krabi Night Market is only open from Friday to Sunday evening from 4 PM to 10 PM. So you have to be in Krabi town on weekends to experience the Krabi Walking Street.

How to get to the Krabi Night market

The Krabi town night market is located in Soi Maharaj 8 on the square right behind the Vogue Department Store in downtown Krabi. This is being called the “Walking Street in Krabi”. You can easily get there if you have your rental motorbike. There are enough free of charge parking spots. But you can also easily arrange a taxi or public Van. If you stay in one of the Krabi Town Hotels you might be close enough to walk to the market. Or combine it with a little shopping in the stores close by.

From Ao Nang, you can get a public Van for 50 Baht per person to the Krabi market. You can ask the drivers of the Van where they stop, but the destinations are mostly also written on the side of the vans.

Other Night markets in Krabi

In Ao Nang are a few other Night Markets held on different days than only during the weekend. So head over to one of the other Ao Nang Night Markets if you’re in Krabi or Ao Nang during the weekdays! It’s a fun evening out, strolling along the food stalls and eat as much street food as you can!

  • Ao Nang Landmark Night Market; was open every day when we stayed in Ao Nang in June. One of the cleanest and neatest Thai markets we have ever seen. And the beautiful views on Noppharat Thara beach and the sea are a big bonus!
  • The Wednesday evening market; obviously only on Wednesdays, does not have as many stalls as the market at the Landmark
  • Ao Nang Night Market; located in between condos, this is not the most beautiful spot for a market. Also less choice and variation in food. This might be the reason why it wasn’t as busy at this market as at the Ao Nang Landmark Night Market where you also have views on the sea.
