Things to do at Aow Leuk Beach

Aow Leuk Beach is wide and sandy and is the perfect bay for swimming. There are a few rocks at the shore line which also makes it a great snorkeling spot. Each side of the bay has plenty of snorkeling opportunities around the boulders. There is a coral reef on both sides of the bay and it begins right off the beach. You don’t have to go very far to see an abundance of marine life. The large sandy sea floor makes it ideal for swimming and lounging in the water. At Aow Leuk Bay is also being used a lot for scuba diving training.

Twice a year baby blacktip reef sharks can be seen in the shallows waters at Aow Leuk beach. The adults are found further out, about 400-500 metres from the beach, right off the north shore. If you are an experienced snorkeler, you can swim along the south shore to the next bay, Hin Ngam, which is about 600 metres from the beach. This is a beautiful spot for snorkelling with easy, calm conditions for most of the year.
